Dear Neighbor,

It has been the honor of a lifetime to serve as your Vice Mayor.

I grew up here in a big, loving, wonderful family, graduated from Jefferson High School in 1979, and never left. 

My husband Gustavo and I raised our three children in Daly City, and today we are lucky enough to be grandparents to six. 

Before I was Vice Mayor, I was a community volunteer — at the North Peninsula Food Pantry, in our kids' schools, with the Daly City Host Lions Club and the Public Library Associates, and as chair of the Skyline College President's Council. I served on the Planning Commission, and I even went through the Daly City Community Police Academy.

Since joining the Council in 2024 and being elected that November, I have brought the same approach to City Hall: listen first, treat people with respect, and make decisions that make our city better. I answer my phone, I show up, and I ask hard questions about how we spend your money.

But the work isn’t over. I’m fighting to keep police and fire fully funded, build housing our own kids and seniors can afford, and fill our storefronts. With your support, I’ll keep up the fight.
